Grenouille @ ULL rock 2012

We've played again at ULL rock. This time we were not part of the competition, we went as last year winners, but I felt nervous anyway. But good nervous. I still have good memories of last year's gig. This time we had a lot of problems (I even had to beg for a guitar because mine died onstage) but everything was sorted. Thanks to Damian for his guitar!

Grenouille @ Gabinete literario

I love playing in Las Palmas. Especially if Conexión canarias are involved. I have to write something more ellaborate about this concert, but right now I'm a little bit tired. For now I'll just say that I loved it, great place, amazing people.

Recording double bass

We've recorded double bass with Emilio. He's a great bassist, and he's really young. In a couple of years he's probably going to be one of the best double bass players around.

Recording pianos

Yes, that's a theater! We're recording pianos on a beautiful Steinway at Paraninfo. It sounds great. I'm so glad we did this, it's the sound I was looking for. And there's also that great feeling. I love recording in this place!

Recording drums

Drums are almost done. We're closer! The rhythm section is almost finished, we still need to record some percussion, a cymbal here and there... the kind of thing you always  forget to record. And also the peculiar sounds (footsteps, claps, mechanical sounds, etc)

Recording musical saw

Picture by... who took this one?

Yesterday was a funny day. I was recording musical saw, tambourines and claps when Sergio, a great guitarist came to pick up an amp or something like that. You should have seen his face when he heard the saw!
